The red cloak of the bullfighter

It is not easy to investigate the influence of red color on the psyche of the bulls. But it was made the conclusion as a result of many experiments, that almost all mammals, including bulls, do not distinguish color. The tests were carried out repeatedly to develop the best color solutions for combat techniques, but all these experiments showed that the bull is absolutely indifferent to the red and reacts rather to sudden movements than to the color itself.

Excitement. But the red cloak attracts the audience. The exciting influence of red color has been proved on the human mind for a long time. The excitement is mostly stimulated by danger and tension during the bloody battle of a bullfighter with a bull. As a result, the performance is especially spectacular.

Mollification. The red color makes possible to hide the cruelty of the bullfight, because the blood on the red cloak is less visible, and this allows people to feel quet the bull killing. 

The bull does not need red, this coat color is more a tribute to traditions and is unlikely to be changed someday.
